A modern approach to yoga training

Our Approach
Balance Yoga is a non-dogmatic yoga that emphasizes balance,
modern day fitness, personalization and holistic health. The Balance
Yoga Certification course meets the requirements for the Yoga
Alliance's 200-hour registered yoga teacher and prepares teachers
with a combination of theoretical and practical training.  Upon
completion, students will be prepared to teach a classical Hatha,
Vinyasa or Power Yoga class.  

We offer the training in three formats:

  • Feb. 1-12, 2010
  • April 12-23, 2010
  • June 14-25, 2010
  • September 6-17, 2010  (by donation session)

The yoga course covers and includes:
  • Principles of total wellness and fitness
  • Yoga history and philosophy
  • Yoga asana, breathing and meditation techniques
  • Anatomy and physiology
  • Teaching methodology, alignment and sequencing
  • Professional considerations, safety, liability and continuing
    education
  • Holistic health and nutrition
  • Yoga teaching written and practical exam
